iPhone developer Emanuele Vulcano sent us an email telling us about a free file transfer app for the iPhone. What makes Mover interesting is the way that it does the transfer. Wal-Mart on Friday confirmed what people have been saying for more than a month now—it will sell Apple’s iPhone 3G at its 2,500-or-so retail outlets around the U.S. The iPhone goes on sale at Wal-Mart on Sunday, the retailer said. The Internet on Monday was abuzz with word that US retail king Wal-Mart will add iPhone mobile devices to its shelves of bargains by year's end, perhaps at prices as low as 99 dollars each. Wal-Mart and notoriously tight-lipped Apple executives declined to comment on "rumor and speculation" but employees at various stores throughout the United States made it clear they expect iPhones in stock within weeks.

Someone better wake up Apple and find out what is going on in Cupertino.. Today I went to my Apple Store to exchange my 3rd iPhone since mine was powering on by itself. So during my meeting with the Genius Bar it was determined that the unit was defective again and they would swap it out with a refurb. iPhone Alley is reporting that the iPhone-Dev Team has officially released version 2.0 of their aptly named PwnageTool. The tool performs several functions on the iPhone and its software and firmware. Primarily, PwnageTool "pwns" the iPhone's firmware which allows unsigned software and firmware to be restored to the iPhone. Apple has done a beautiful job with HTML viewing on the iPhone 2.0 software. Quite honestly I think its even better than the Windows Mobile version. Users can easily see their expanded folder list on their exchange server along with the capability of moving emails to folders. I did notice that there was a bug where if you have WiFi and 3G off you will be prompted with errors? Unfortunately Apple needs to fix this immediately.

Looks like the guys at iFixit already got their iPhone and have taken it completely apart.. According to iFixit some of the chips are not identifiable so TechOnline will be decapping the chips we can't identify tomorrow, after the US release. They soak the chip in an acid bath to eat away the ceramic coating, then use x-rays and other fancy equipment to examine it.
