What is Coolness? Warmth from SCOTTeVEST!

There are three words that characterize the quality, design, and form of this product … SCOTTeVEST - NO LIMITATIONS!

In August, I finally realized a lifelong dream of having a place on the water in Maine. Of course, I always take my iPAQ wherever I go and a few other items that I would usually throw in my briefcase but now that I have entered the next stage of my life, the briefcase is no longer needed. Faced with the decision of how to carry all those items, some small, some large and others just plain “bulky”, I needed to find the perfect solution. Where did I find it?... SCOTTeVEST of course!

Writing a review of the SCOTTeVEST Classic Vest was easy because it was a quality garment that had a great design. The Essence of Coolness was a review of a unique product that was innovative, durable, stylish and downright COOL! Clearly I was impressed and it showed because I always had it on…even when I went to visit friends or went out for casual dining.

The need to carry my iPAQ and a few of those basic essentials is always there but sometimes, the clothes just don’t fit the occasion. Ah…that’s not quite right!

Scott Jordan, the founder of SCOTTeVEST, understood that fact and designed a pair of casual pants that are just right for almost every occasion… his SeV Hidden Cargo Pants featuring 11 hidden pockets and compartments. These pants are the greatest pants I have ever owned. In my review on The “Coolness” Continues With SCOTTeVEST Hidden Cargo Pants , I talked about how these pants offer the carrying space of cargo pants, yet are streamlined to look like regular khakis. They were absolutely PERFECT!

But now it is November, and as I still spend time discovering the wonders of the Maine coast…it is getting downright cold on the waters edge! I started wearing a heavy coat over my vest, but that wasn’t working. I tried a heavy sweater with the vest on top and that was OK but really wasn’t cool and then my wife said: “Go the extra mile…get that jacket you want. You will feel better, you will be warm and the coolness will return”.

We are glad you enjoyed the review!
Thanks for the great review. Now all I have to do is get my wife to buy it for me as a Christmas gift!
Yeah, I don't really feel the cold that much so perhaps I could just get the outer layer.
wow this is a great review. i'm sold!! where's my damn xmas list again? anyone else have one of these that can chime in? i may just get the shell first, and the fleece later...
These definitely look cool. Pity about the high cost... but still goes on my wish list :-)
Thanks Elrendhel! I appreciate the kind remarks.

This "system" is a "must have" item for everyone!
Yet another Excellent review Jack! This is another item I need to add to my growing list of toys to be had!
I did not find the light uncomfortable at all. I had several items (large and small) in the jacket and found that by placing them equally, it was very comfortable. SCOTTeVEST designed a weight management system and it seems to work well.

There is a satisfaction guarantee on all merchandise sold for 30 days...certainly enough time to check out your purchase. I will tell you that every item I have purchased from SCOTTeVEST has been remakable.

If you look on the SCOTTeVEST site, you will find a myriad of items for all weather.
Couple questions.

1. I notice you have a mag-lite in one of the fleece's pockets. How did the weight distribute? Did the jacket drag on that side?

2. What's the return policy on these? They seem cool, but I'd hate to spend that much money, only to decide that I didn't like it. Similarly, are there any stores that sell them?

3. Is there any parts for warm weather other than the pants?

TIA
You bet you do...that TIME magazine will be a "collectors item"!
Hey I see a Red Sox article Jack
Thanks for the review!

This has to be one of the best reviews that has ever been posted at Daves iPAQ. I hope everyone makes comments since a considerable amount of time goes into these types of reviews.
