FYI: Verizon will be releasing their version of the TP2 tomorrow (FRI SEP 11). It will be $200 after a mail in rebate and with a new 2 year contract. It seems as if the device was not crippled, other than lacking phone and data at the same time. I was told that should Verizon change it's price plan, you can change to the new price plan without any penalties or additional costs (other than price difference.) I say this since Sprint announced it's new unlimited pricing plan and here's to hoping Verizon will compete. My local store said they might get it in later today, but for sure within the next few days.
I wished they had changed the home screen like the European version. But anyways, I'm getting my hands on one of these babies. Can't wait till the 8th. The wait is almost over :)
@Reidan, I can tell you that the TP2 from T-Mo works quite nicely! We got the shaft on the jack, though not an issue for me as I am an A2DP guy and do not have an issue with making my wired headsets 3" longer by attaching an adapter to keep the headset plugged into.
Nice phone. If I had not already dropped some coin on my Pre I would consider it.
I bet their navigation software allows you to use select your contacts addresses as destinations w/o having to manually enter the address.
