You're on your way out the door and there is still 8 minutes to go before the radio (or TV) has the weather forecast. Do you bring the umbrella? How about a sweater? With AccuWeather, you can plan your day not only for home but for where you are going.
A daily visit for me is AccuWeather.com, not only to find my daily weather but to be able plan ahead for the rest of my week. The forecasts are always current and accurate. The ability to look 5 days into the future is important in scheduling my week and the ability to find the forecasts in areas other than my home is especially important if I am going to be away for several days. Both the desktop (www.accuweather.com) and PDA (http://pda.accuweather.com/) versions are excellent.
When you first log on, you enter your local zip code, click GO and voila...there is your weather. A 5-day forecast with the anticipated highs and lows. The top of the page shows the current conditions, followed by your 5-day forecast.
At the bottom of the page, you have the ability to Choose a New Location, look at a Satellite view, Radar view or a text Weather Summary.

The Satellite view is a cool picture from an Enhanced Infrared Regional Satellite. You have the option to view the entire country's current weather or view by region. The page change is very fast which makes it convenient to look at the other maps.

The Radar view gives a neat image from the Regional Extended Base Reflectivity Radar of your area with the current conditions clearly showing. There is a key explaining the view from "light" to Severe" weather conditions.
If time allows, you can read a text Weather Summary that gives you National and Special Weather news. Definitely worth the time to read!
Accuweather is a great site....you don't spend a lot of time and you get a lot of valuable information very quickly!
