iVo Case for Palm Treo 700w

Delivering the highest quality leather for your Windows Mobile Treo

Last week I received an email from Vaja Cases informing me they are releasing an entire line of cases for the newly announced Palm Treo 700w. The case I received is the iVo case which provides the upmost protection for your investment. If you aren't familiar with Vaja Cases they are based in Argentina and have been producing innovative leather cases for a whole host of electronic gadgets including PDA's, mobile phones and MP3 players for several years now and have built themselves up an excellent reputation within the PDA community.

Packaging:

The case comes in a white branded on the sides with the Vaja logo, the inside of the box includes a beautiful color chart showing you what other color options are available. Also incuded is a plastic card stating, ""This case has been designed by a group of PDA enthusiasts, and made by skilled craftsman following the highest quality standards of the leather industry, taking care of every detail in each of its almost fifty processes, only the top ten percent of Argentine leathers is selected for its quality, tact and durability, to be able to offer comfort and service during its natural lifetime utility."

iVo Treo 700w case:

Once you remove the case from the box you are greeted with that un-mistakable smell of leather. Inside the box you can find the case neatly wrapped in some tissue paper. The case is constructed of two quality pieces of cow-leather, with the top part featuring a cutout with a wire mesh that protects the earpiece along with a plastic cover for the status indicator. I really liked this craftmanship since there is no way of making an effective case without the status indicator cutout. Nice touch!

On the construction portion there are actually four layers that make up the case structure... tafetta fabric on the inside to protect the sides of the Treo700w, followed by foam rubber to cushion the Treo and ABS plastic to give the case rigidness. The fourth layer is the leather finish on the outside. I can honestly say this has some very nice protection if for some accidental reason you drop it.

Also speaking of construction sharp and precise cut-outs in the case gives access to the Treo's volume controls, sync location, power, status indicator light and speaker. Users should note these cutouts are fantastic. In order to effectively create a useful case Vaja has done it again with the beautiful craftmanship around these critical locations.

Conclusion:

The Vaja iVo Case for the Palm Treo 700w is an extremely well built and high quality case. Once the Treo has been slid into the case there is no concern about it falling out as the case fits so snuggly and 'holds' your expensive Treo in place.

Removing the the Treo 700w from the case is very easy and users should note thanks to all the cleverly designed cut-outs that the case has you really dont need to pull it out. If you are a user who is looking for an iVolution type case for your Treo 700w, hands down this case is superb.

makes it look like a blackberry now lol
I own this case and have to warn you of a flaw in it's design. The pivot that slides in and out of the belt clip is made of metal and the locking pin on the belt clip is plastic. Normal use wears this pin away causing your phone to consistantly be pushed out of the clip. I can't tell you how many times I've stood up and my phone hit the floor. I will admit that the case protected my phone, but if not for the kindness of strangers returning my phone when i was unaware that it dropped, I would have lost it due to this design flaw.
Cool! But I perfer to use metal case. This is good metal case I am using. Have a look...

Well I caved last night and ordered the iVo in black with the E2 clip, no personalization stuff, just the case maam, just the case.
Its open to the air Chris but they came out with a huge line of cases specifically for the Treo!! You have to check it out.
Ok... Case envy in your general direction!

I was waiting for Vaja to release one of these... This looks like an awesome case. Does it come with any kind of screen protection, or is the screen still open to the air??
