I was a little shocked that Compaq didn't bundle more software with this CD. For the price the end user paid I really think they should've added Wordsmith and maybe Sega Games. What else bugged me was that they didn't even install into ROM Microsoft Reader and Windows Media Player.

Overall I think Compaq did a fabulous job with the step by step instructions for the upgrade but I think they really needed to add more apps into the ROM since I had 24MB left of space in the iPAQ.. I am really shocked and feel they feel short in the delivery and the bundle. Compaq really needed to go the extra effort for the Alumni 3600 users and think they put all their eggs in the 3800 basket

Yes, your eyes are correct.. Version 2.14 ...Here is a breakout of changes:QMenu, QStart, and QUtilities are replaced by iTask, which contains similar functionality. Applications previously available through QMenu, QStart, and QUtilities exist as separate applications available through Settings. Due to size limitations of the ROM, the Contacts Backup application was removed and this functionality does not exist in the upgrade.
Due to size limitations of the ROM, Microsoft Reader and Microsoft Media Player, are not located in ROM, but can be installed on the iPAQ Pocket PC from links on the CD-ROM.
