I have Motorola Q and did not have any problems with batteries. Lots of customizations and apps because it's Windows Mobile OS. No complaints.

STOPPP! DONT GET THE MOTO Q. IT WAS THE WORST NIGHTMARE PHONE WITH VERIZON EVER...BATTERY LASTED HALF A DAY, AND I WAS HARDLY EVER CALLING OUT...WELL THE ABSOLUTE VERIZON NIGHTMARE WAS THE SAMSUNG GREEN AND WHITE SCREEN..WHAT A DOG...

The dummy, non-operational, fake version of the Curve is tremendous! I really liked how the trackball wouldn't move and the screen was, actually, just a picture of a screen. Who needs to look at a functioning model?

I remember reading that this device is not upgradeable to Rev A. Do you know if that is correct?

alright may I don't need real GPS but I would like a real push Email phone with 3G and Google apps work real nice. Looks like a road trip to Verizon Wireless and drive the sale people crazy.

I guess Verizon is still not as open as they could be if this unit had Real GPS I would have gotten it all ready. I guess I'll check out the Motorola Q9c.

Man, if they had the GPS in there, this would be a great option IMHO. However, looks like waiting a few more days for the Blackberry Bold on GSM may be the way to go for many folks.

I left Verizon years ago when I wanted to pair my PDA (an Ipaq 2750) with my then phone, a RAZR via bluetooth to get Net access.

Wow. I guess Verizon corrected their "mistake" of not acitvating the 8830's GPS chip. With the 8330, they just remove the chip altogether. That sounds very open to me.

Correct. if you look at the top of the AT&T Curve it clearly is labeled.. No beans on the VZW... They want you to use he VZW Navigator.

Dave,
Is it true that the device has no GPS hardware?
