SeV Sport Tec 4.0

I think most folks grab a jacket by its collar first before they put it on. Doing so with this jacket, you can’t help but notice the multi function collar with its distinctive attachments. A nice soft black “felt type” material lines this collar for comfort. On either side of the collar you find a collar loop and rubber clip for attaching your earbuds. Of course there is access to the PAN (Personal Area Network) on either side of the collar.

What is particularly nice is a removable hood that folds neatly inside and under the collar. This is a great feature and a welcome one especially if you get caught in that unexpected storm. Easy access with a Velcro fastener but what I like even more is that when it is folded away, the Velcro fastener always keeps it neat. Just below the Velcro fastener is a loop for hanging the jacket …. I never use these, do you? They look good, sort of a touch of class in appearance but I never use them.

As you hold the jacket, the epaulets that have been standard on many SeV products remain on the shoulders; great features that can be used for a variety of items like the SeV Solar Panel, a cell phone or a GPS. You will find two embroidered SeV logos; one on the back in the shoulder area and one on the top of the zipper flap in the front. In addition, there is an embroidered TEC logo and a TEC label on the sides of the jacket.

I like the zipper pulls…sturdy in design, they have a classy look with a SeV label molded into the metal. It gives a very distinctive look and yet not at all over done. I think it adds to the overall appearance of the jacket. So what about the zippers? Where are they?

Pockets are what SeV products are known for, but zippers on this jacket provide ease of access and security for items that you are carrying. The front zipper is a coarse heavy duty zipper that smoothly secures the jacket. A finer zipper is used on the two hand warmer pockets, the two breast pockets as well as the extra large rear pocket for safe and secure storage of your valuables. I like zippers that work smoothly and these glide easily. A quality zipper for a quality jacket---you would expect nothing else from a SeV product.

I had a good chuckle Greg...thanks! You don't have to be sorry...actually the picture in the review is at "lands end".

As you look at the reviews we have presented, it covers a variety of areas...all related in some way to the mobile user. I have not found any clothing line other than SCOTTEVEST that has style and still allows me to carry a myriad of devices when I want to.

More reviews are coming...gadgets and devices.
Sorry, but is this Dave's Lands End or Dave's iPAQ?
Greg
Looks nice. Will SeV be making one with a GoreTex like material? Ditto Dave's comments on the nice surroundings. Where's the pix taken? My ME location is 43° 51.17'N, 69° 51.89'W.
Jack, you have got to get ScotteVest to put our logo up with the link to your review. The other 2 reviews have logos and make you almost miss the fact that there is a link for your review.
What a kind thought !
Laura, we have the room. Pack up the family and come out to visit the wonders of the Northeast!
Everytime I look at these photos, it reminds me so of Lake Tahoe in California where I have many many happy memories. and I just want to be there - NOW!!
Plus it was good timing since we had the summer season clothing going into the fall season.. Gotta have something to carry all of our gear!
I appreciate your comments JJ and more neat stuff is coming. Sometimes it is difficult to decide what to pick...I guess it is what strikes me as being interesting and worth while for the membership.

SCOTTEVEST is currently introducing a new line of Tech enabled clothes and from my side of the fence, it is some pretty cool stuff. Not only does it satisfy the need for storing all that great "stuff" we carry, it has incredible style. The new 4.0 line is really geared to a younger audience and yet, for the old folks like me, it is very nice.

Style, comfort and versatility....to me, that is important to the membership.

We have more reviews coming and they will be up soon...but it is summer and we all do have to relax...of course, that is what I always do!

Thanks for your words...and you will love what is coming!

BTW, the "jacksentme" offer was a generous gesture from SCOTTEVEST. He has been a tremendous supporter of the Pocket PC community...we are very grateful for his kindness!
I appreciate the SeV clothing - design, workmanship, etc., I really do. And, Jack does a great job on any review he has done on this site. BUT, I would rather see more hardware/software reviews. Let's give Jack something besides clothing to review please!
Jack I am jealous of your surroundings!! The jacket actually looks like its very comfortable...
Thanks so much for the review!

Scott
