INTRODUCTION:
A long time ago (in a galaxy not so far away), Microsoft released a handy "PowerToy" utility called "Remote Display Control", that allowed the user to interface their PocketPC Device from their host computer, where they could input data and interact with the PocketPC device. But this utility, like all other Microsoft PowerToy utilities, was officially unsupported by Microsoft. After WinMobile 2003 and 2003SE were released, this utility became something of a liability because it began to cause instabilities in iPAQs which had the client software installed. Numerous calls by the public for Microsoft to update this specific utility within the PowerToy tool set went unanswered. Happily, another company, Soti Inc, has risen to the challenge and has not only created a utility program that meets the standard set by Microsoft, but they have exceed it by leaps and bounds.
OVERVIEW:
This program is such a joy to use! It has earned a permanent spot in my library of “Must Have” software. It has a rich feature-set, and sports a complete and well thought-out design, which the user can customize with their choice of which controls to display, as well as free custom skins provided at no charge by Soti Inc.
PRODUCT CLAIMS:
Soti’s Pocket Controller is 2 Products in ONE:Productivity - Enter data quickly into your mobile device using your desktop/notebook computer keyboard and mouse.
Presentation - An Ideal tool for training/presenting mobile software or mobile devices by projecting your desktop/notebook computer screen.
