First Shots: i-mate JAQ

Just recently we were fortunate enough to receive the newly announced I-Mate JAQ Windows Mobile PocketPC Phone edition. This device is different in many cases such as look and feel along with a newly designed keyboard..This is one of the first devices made for I-Mate by Inventec since HTC broke their relationship just recently. The i-mate JAQ is a quad-band device that operates on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. The device features a full QWERTY keyboard, 128 MB ROM/64MB RAM, 64k 2.8” color LCD screen, MiniSD memory card expansion, integrated antenna, Bluetooth compatibility.

This is quite ugly. I'd rather get the HTC Excalibur (minus touchscreen, plus WiFi).
bulbous, I doubt they'll sell 100 of these....
They don't get much uglier than this beast. I can see it looking at itself in the mirror and screaming "Put me out of my misery..."
I agree Jerry totally. I dont want to comment yet on usage as we just received it.
Looks to be even wider than the 6500/6900. That's a bit too much for me. The bulbous lower back doesn't help with asthetics or holding comfort.

Dave, I know you have said that it's a full WM device, but still it looks even more awkward than many full devices out there. Again, this is a phone we are talking about.
