Unhappy Activesync drop at large file transfer

Please help!: recently, whenever I transfer any file larger then 15 MB, activesync will drop off (the green activesync icon turns white). The worst is, the phone stop working and I have to reboot...PDA function is still working and I miss calls...

Anyone have a clue?

Many Thanks!

Are you using RNDIS, or USB for the ActiveSync? So it just shuts of the phone radio? Hmm, that is odd. Honestly the best way to transfer any file is by card reader (also quicker). I would try uninstalling activesync on the PC and the reinstall and see if that helps. Also make sure you have the latest version of ActiveSync. How much free memory (storage) do you have on the iPAQ? I know that I have experienced difficulties in the past when I was low on storage memory. I think it has to do with the way the PPC transfers the data. I think it goes from the source to the PPC storage and then to the SD card instead of directly from source to SD card, hence why it is so slow.

Activesync will do this with large files. A really good piece of software is Softick Card Export - I use this to copy large files to my SD card. I reviewed it for MT a while back...

Dear SKyfox and Laura, Thanks a lot to both of your reply. The painful thing is, I used to transfer large files, the largest to be 150MB, for PC to this PPC via Activesync and now not even 10MB....

I guess using card reader will be the easiest solution...Thanks again

If this is really a big deal, then try a back up and hard reset to get your device back to factory settings and see if that helps. If it doesn't, you know that it is the PC and and MS problem, not iPAQ issue

USE THIS FREEWARE
http://doosoft.seesaa.net/article/12281736.html
IT WILL SYNC ANY FILE ANY SIZE ,YOU CAN SYNC 2 AND MORE FOLDERS WITHOUT YOU STANDIND TILL THE TRANSFER WILL COMPLETE
YOU CAN SET THE SYNC ANY DIRECTION YOU LIKE OR 2 WAY DIRECTION
YOU CAN DROP YOUR FILES IN A FOLDER ON YOUR DESKTOP AND THE NEXT SYNC IT WILL PASS (DURING NIGHT TIME OR WHENEVER)
best thing it works grate (maps, movies,my doc...) and its free
downfall -takes more time then card export

Hmm, this might be aswsome for manually syncing my music folders... I have been one of the few successful (happy and successful anyways) with using WMP, but I think I'll try this out, thanks!
