I emailed Spectec. They confirmed their SD wi-fi works on channels 1-14. The miniSD wi-fi card should be in in a few weeks as well. Both only stick out 2mm! (barely at all)

The problem is that no one makes one, and that image from Spectec keeps showing up everywhere and everyone keeps commenting on it.

A miniSD wi-fi card will be exactly what we need if it works. Check this out.

No new Sandisk Wifi cards.. I spoke to Sandisk PR people and they said they will no longer make wifi cards.

The Spectec one sounds much better. Too bad it says "11, 13 and 14 Channel" I take that to mean it wouldnt work if an access point was setup on channel 1 or 6. I guess I'll wait or the new SanDisk one. Hopefully they shortened theirs as well.

If you are looking for a lower profile WiFi SD card then you should check out the WiFi card from Spectec SDW-820 (http://www.spectec.com.tw/en/sdw-820.htm). You can purchase one from Expansys for about $94.00 (http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=121110&partner=davesipaq).
This card only sticks out buy about 1.5 mm. The Spectec card that is obtainable is the standard SD card, do not be fooled by the image of mini-SD WiFi card on Spectec's site. I do not know why they put the image there, but I wrote them regarding it and they never got back to me.
Hope this helps!

This should be a nice "work around" until the 6700 comes out. I'll keep this SD wifi card tucked away in my wallet until I need wifi. (which isnt often)
GPRS/EDGE will get the job done for most day to day things.
I agree with JNGold that a shorter wifi card would sure be nice. I guess it needs to stick out for the Ant. tx/rx

How terrible. The placement of the slot and the fact that the card sticks out will probably appeal to those who absolutely have to have wifi. Isn't someone working on a smaller form factor wifi SD card?
