Engadget has it posted that Cingular will be releasing the HP6515 on Oct. 31st... So what are we all waiting at the store for today?

I just asked an emploee about any new phones. I was told that only crazy people wait an hour for a store to open, then they called the police. No new phone, I am freezing and tired, and the police want me to leave for loitering. Real nice.

I went in to Cingular and they said 6515, not 6715.

Bah.
It better be the 65xx, or 67xx.
I have to ditch this Treo, already.
It's too old (6 months) ;) And the HP 6315 before that.
Hoping that Cingular B2B carries/sells whatever the Oct. 18th release is as they do the RAZR and SX66 - can you say, FAN discount?
:)

Just a note, the ipaq site is back up. Does this mean that the 6515 is likely? We'll see.

"Where is the 67xx the device, anyway?"
It's due out early next year. Hopefully before the Treo 700w for HP's sake.

"Please HO, heed our call..."
*Curses comment system*
I meant HP the company.

Man...
Where is the 67xx the device, anyway?
I might buy if this release is the 65xx just for the SD and mSD slots, but still...
I have even seen anyone or heard of ANYONE with a 6700. Was anyone here at CTIA, were there 67xx's there? That's what I really want,...Please HO, heed our call.

The release of this device in the US would have been IMO, anti-climatic a month ago much less now. I will tell you what though, if the device that is released in the US winds up being stable and useable for all of its intended purposes, then I would be happy that HP is headed in the right direction.
However, with all of the complaints that have surfaced so far regarding the devices that were purchased from abroad to date, I am thinking that this will not be the case.
We shall see though...

My guess is this is when the 6500 will go on sale, but until Dave tells us for certain, it could be almost anything...

Kind of anti-climatic, given that HP wants to sell out inventory of the 6500 before selling the 6700. Maybe if I stand in the very back of the line, they will sell all the devices and then I could get a 6700? :)

What is this suppose to be?

Why would I want a locked Cingular device when I'm a t-mobile customer :-)
I've been happy with my unlocked import since July.
I'm still thinking of switching to Cingular, but not right away.
