Five Good Reasons for TextMaker

Text entry on an iPAQ or any other Pocket PC has always been a challenge. Pocket Work doesn't really do what you need it to do but fortunately, there is solution and this solution is TextMaker 2005. TextMaker 2005 offers everything you would expect from a high-end word processor and it provides Microsoft Word compatibility.

TextMaker is not "just compatible", but also offers unique advantages compared to other word processors:

1. Better proofing tools: TextMaker comes with advanced proofing tools – the German government's commission on the German language preferred TextMaker's spell-checker over all other word processors!

But TextMaker doesn't limit itself to the German language: it comes with spelling dictionaries in 17 languages, synonym dictionaries in ten, and reliable automatic hyphenation in 29 different languages. It even includes a five-language translation dictionary.

2. Better layout capabilities: If you want more than edit documents, but also lay them out so that they look attractive to your readers, you will find a competent partner in TextMaker.

Among its capabilities are master pages, sophisticated typographic controls, strong tools for creating forms, and most importantly: predictable text formatting. With TextMaker, pictures don't jump from one page to another, "just because", or disappear entirely.

3. Better database connectivity: Mail merging doesn't have to be complicated. With TextMaker, creating serial letters and even serial faxes is child's play!

The built-in database does not only store addresses for mail merges but also lets you insert single addresses into single letters. Think about it: You write regular letters much more often than serial letters, and TextMaker saves you time here as well.

4. Better support for letter writing in foreign languages: From time to time, you might need to write a letter in a foreign language. TextMaker helps you get the job done quickly by providing a full set of ready-made document templates in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.

By the way, these are also the languages TextMaker offers its user interface in – easily switchable on-the-fly...

5. TextMaker is not only available for Windows, but has versions for Linux, FreeBSD, Pocket PCs, Handheld PCs, and Sharp Zaurus as well – one word processor, six platforms.

All versions of TextMaker share the same file format and can exchange documents with each other without any conversion.

So, if you need, for example, to access TextMaker and Microsoft Word files on the road, TextMaker will become your indispensable companion on your notebook computer or PDA: Editing Word files without loss of formatting – that's a feat only TextMaker achieves!

I have been using TextMaker for years and have been very happy with it. It is an extraordinary program! And yes, it works well with my 6515!
Textmaker and Planmaker are excellent programs.

Does anyone know if these programs will be compatible with the hw6515?
