Oncourse Navigator MyGuide 500 DISCOUNTS

I am excited to announce OnCourse has released the MyGuide 500 all in one GPS unit. Unfortunately I am going to retire my TomTom 300 unit since the MyGuide 500 is a fabulous device! I am very impressed with the features this unit comes with such as GPS Navigation, MP3 Player, Photo Viewer, Movie Player, and Personal management functionality You wont want to miss Jack's review of this innovative GPS unit!

The new generation of the navigation software OCN5 is not only a brilliant invention concerning its numerous features. The easy operability of the navigation software was the ultimate ambition in the development of the graphic surface. See for yourself!

This looks like a good unit I can't wait to read the review.
Great news love to hear your feedback!!
Thank you - that helps. It seems that I can get the 500 for $449, which is $150 less than the 700. The only diff. is a larger card and the Canada maps, which I do not need. So, I can go buy a 2GB card for around $105 and load the USA maps onto it - leaving me with almost a gig free, and a spare 1gb card and still $45 more in my pocket.

I just ordered the 500...
The 700 comes with comples USA + Canada as 1 seamless connected map. So you could route from say Vancouver to Key West without map switching.

The 500 lets you do the same for coast-to-coast / long distance route trip but the Point A and Point B must be in the lower 48 U.S states.

The 1GB has less than 1MB left. Yes, you could upgrade to a 2GB SD card ***high speed*** in the future if you wish to however, your map license stays the same; meaning same map coverage. You have the option to upgrade the XL to XXL map (included in the 700) for additional $40.00 thru CleverMap activation here: http://www.oncoursenavigator.com/item.aspx?itemid=8009

Hope this helps.

I guess my question would be about storage and why get the 700 over the 500. Is there internal storage on the unit too? If I wanted to send a video to it, how much space is left on the 1GB card vs the 2gb card which has 800+mb available? Can I buy a 2GB card and move my maps to that card so I have room for video, etc. on it?
Perhaps you also want to be sure the coupon code entered is all in Upper Case.
Mauricen:
Yes, this code is only for MyGuide 500 and it does not apply to the 300 or 700 series. Sorry.

Alex_Mathews: Yes, it does support WiFi SD Card because it has been tested on the SDIO Slot of this device. In regards to your question on ease of use, it should be a lot easier to use compared to Bluetooth, CF, or Serial GPS. The GPS is built it and you just have to turn it on, launch the OCN5 software and go thru the one time automatic GPS detection wizard and that is pretty much all.

You also have to regiater your license online to unlock the software.

There is no need to copy map since all detail street level map of lower 48 states have already been pre-loaded to the 1GB Storage card.

Tip: If you have Windows Media Center installed on your home PC/laptop, you could install a WiFi SD Card to wireless sync up your multimedia contents (mp3, pre-recorded movies, or cable programs...) from the PC to this MyGuide since it has the Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 pre-installed.

Enjoy!
I will reach out to the vendor to check out.
Dave - I put the coupon code in and it seemed to accept it, but it isn't calculating a discount. i don't want to finish my checkout until it tells me the coupon code worked and shows me the discount. Any ideas? Is this code only for a specific model?
Would this support using a WiFi SD card? Would you recommend this to someone that hasn't used a Windows Mobile or GPS device before?
Its good for those who want a standalone unit
Is this something one should consider if you already have a PDA? What advantage does unit have over a PDA/BT receiver?
This unit ROCKS! I love Oncourse Maps on my Treo 700W and I can tell you this unit is definitely on my buy list!!! WAY TO GO DAVE! Thanks for posting this.
