I updated and am having a lot of problems with rebooting and lockups. - maybe due to putting some of the apps on a 2 GB Kingston CF card.... I'll try to let everyone know what I find out..

It's out... posted on 05/05, from what I can tell... downloading it now. I was actually looking for some commentary from someone who had done the upgrade to see if there were any problems with it... guess I'll be the first to post.

Think we will get WPA Radius AES support in the update?

Jimski hit it right on the nose. Definitely, the memory allocation problem with bluetooth/wifi is the most irritating hx4700 problem. You shouldn't have to reboot a pda unless you've installed or uninstalled a program. I thought the main feature of a pda was that you didn't have to reboot it 5-10 times a day.
Next is the graphics issue, inconsistent today screen refreshes and some icons not displaying in program toolbars. I hope they address these issues because this ROM update is a long time coming.

Jack, sometime ago in a similar post you stated that you expected to see "several ROM upgrades for the 4700 series". Any idea why HP has taken so long to get this one out, and do you still maintain your view that there will be more upgrades? Do you think we'll see WM 2005 for the 4705? Thanks for your comments.

What! No improvement of memory allocation when launching Bluetooth. That is problem #1. My CF cards read fine. And I don't need WMP10. But I do want to turn on Bluetooth with my 128MB RAM (PPCTechs) device and 55MB available program memory without having to do a silly soft reset. Come on HP. How hard can this possibly be.
I am almost ready to start learning how to program and help make the World a little better place. Please HP, save me the trouble and just fix this. This test (turn on Bluetooth after opening 2-3 other programs) will be my prerequisite for any future device. I don't plan on purchasing the same problem again.

This is great news since I thought I had read that HP stated they would not be upgrading any PPC with WMM 9 to WMM 10. Awesome news!
