Smooth - Very Smooth!

I thought I might start to share with you my First Impressions on the new iPAQ 6500 but rather than a lengthy review, I thought it would be nice to give a little at a time...

I must tell you that I really like my 6315 and since the ROM update, life has been good. A love affair, definitely not ... but it really is a very close and personal friendship. But I have to tell you, I think I am falling in love...yup, ever since I got my 6500, I can't wait to get up, hold it in my hand and see what potential it has.

And from what I have been experiencing, the potential is great and a love affair is beginning for me! So what is it like...well, here are a couple of pictures just to start you off.

I love the form factor! As much as I like my 6315, it always feels a little big in my hand. Of course I use Voice Command so it generally is not a problem but it is big.

This phone is a just the right size..it has an incredible feel to it...you don't want to let it go. It is like it was molded for my hand!

Yup, it definitely is the perfect size, perfect feel ... it could possibly be the perfect phone!

This iPAQ is SMOOTH - VERY SMOOTH!

Yup...I'm definitely falling in love!

....more to come, stay tuned!!

Great device - can anyone tell me though whether it can be used as a radio? I love my BBC Radio 4...
Seems like a cool looking device but I have never been much a fan of the blackberry..Most people I know with blackberrys have had broken screen or other problems keeping a small device intact. Im wondering how the actual functions on the devie will work on a daily basis. Accessing your address book and sending emails appears much easier but more advanced PDA functions look to be a PITA
No difference just for different countries
I'm new here, so please excuse if this has been asked: is there a release date for the 6500 series? What are the differences between 6500/6510/6510a/6510b/6515/6515a/6515b...I don't understand how so many models with none released?
From HP's site this unit will not have wm5 shipping.
Will they re-release this when WM 2005 comes out or will it just be an upgrade?

I'm thinking this would be a great platform for WM 05 to show up its new features. Any thoughts on this?
Voice command does work great with the 6500. This is a great unit. althouhg it is really not much smaller than the 6300 it sure feels that way and it runs rings around the 6315 as far as performance is concerned. Everyone that I have showed it to has been impressed.
Voice command works like a champ. I haven't had any issues with the headset not ringing or dropoff.
How well does Voice Command work on this device?
As for how fast...is it working...are there problems...issues...concerns blah blah blah, you're just gonna have to stay tuned. I think I'm going to try to do a little bit at a time ...experiment, play and then inform

....but, do I ever love this device if that helps!
I am using a SIM from my phone which fortunately has been terrific. There has been a lot of discussion on what provider will be used. Unless and until it is confirmed by HP, I will not speculate on rumor.
Well I might be stepping on Jack's toes but my personal impressions are that alot if not all of the 6300 issues have been resolved. Jack your thoughts?
Well Jack it sounds like you will have a nice review soon. So how fast is the data over at Cingular? I would also like to know how this baby performs, and I mean in comparison to the 6315. Are the problems still there or is this the way it is supposed to be?
