I was listening to podcast#43 and heard that Dave was getting crap for the pronuncation of Nokia.
Did you know that if you phone Nokia and get put on hold that they even pronounce it incorrectly?
I work for a company that does business with Nokia and even the internal hold message that they have say No-Kia and not Nock-ya.
So, Question to ponder....
If they can't even pronounce it correctly, then why are they allowed to give others grief for saying it wrong???

Dave,
It's time to let go of your home grown pronunciation of KnocKey'a (Nokia)
I used to do the same thing when it comes to wierd company names. You say one thing for a long time until you hear the name rea allowd by someone else or meet someone that sets you straight. It's best to force your brain to conform to the real deal the day you find out. :-)

Ah! I found it listed on the show notes of your other podcast ...
http://www.evdoinfo.com/EVDO_Products/EVDO_Routers/Kyocera_KR1_EVDO_Router_with_WiFi_20050427264/
Now, if it would just work with Sony Ericsson GC89 Network Card that T-Mobile uses!

Dave,
Love the podcasts!
I just got T-Mobile's version of the WiFi Card for their network. I would like to get more info on the Wireless Router that I can insert the PCMCIA Card into. Can you provide me a URL for that?
Thanks!

I have to agree. The K-Jam is solid. While sometimes the processor does seem a little sluggish, nothing that makes it unuseable. Now, if only I could find a cradle for it.

Dave,
Something you said about your JasJar reiterates the benefits of the dual processor system that the K-JAM implements (one for phone functions and one for computing tasks).
If I am not mistaken the JasJar, while it has a fast 520mhz processor is a single processing unit where the xscale has to handle both voice and computing tasks. I can bet you that's why when you get a call, your menus are slow to open and you have to press the talk button 4 times.
On the K-JAM you have no such issues. I can be playing music, get a call, press the answer key start talking, etc with no problems.
The more I use the K-JAM, the more impressed I am of the architecture of the hardware itself.
Cheers!
