Sony Vaio UX released

Sony has just released the official press release  and we are treated with videos of the Vaio UX Micro PC. Previously we reported a 7 inch screen in which we retracted after our source confirmed that the UX sports a 4.5 XBRITE running at 800 x 600. It works on the Cingular EDGE network and also has WiFi and Bluetooth.  The official UX website is on Sony Japan.

We will announce rest assured ;)
Oh, you mean the Dualcor. Well, since there are no existing USB EVDO modems (at least that I can find), that sort of kills that option, no? : )

I guess I could bluetooth dial-up via my Audiovox 6600. But that is sort of a kludge. There's just nothing like "built-in."

Dave,
cPC = ?

I googled it and also "evdo usb" and couldn't find an existing USB EVDO modem, although it appears that at least one or two are supposedly in the works.

Thanks
Honestly this is why the cPC isn't as crazy as people think! The cPC opens the door to choice. If you dont want EDGE dont buy the card buy a USB Evdo card!
EDGE? *EDGE*? Blech. Pathetic. How come no 3G? I sincerely hope there's a technical reason for this (perhaps the 3G chips are still too big or draw too much power or something). Otherwise Sony is clueless.
