Customers get stuck in Apple NY Store

Unfortunately Apple didnt publicize this snafu. Apparently that beautiful elevator we saw throughout that entire NY store opening got stuck and trapped a bunch of customers. Not only did it get stuck two people burned their hands.  I wonder if Apple did the right thing and take care of those packages they were all holding in there hands. I would only assume they did.

My daughter and her friends were the ones that were stuck. On vac. from MN. None were offered even a free download.
I agree with Laura... That would have been the easy way out, too!
I would love to hear what they did for these poor customers!
Well I'd have settled for a Macbook Pro and a few ipods and maybe a camera or two.
Can you say lawsuit??
