The No..No..No.. Zune Interview by Robert Scoble

Robert Scoble over at PodTech had some face time with Matt Jubelirer who is the product lead for the Microsoft Zune. Robert was nice enough to ask the hard questions which just validates Microsoft has missed a significant opportunity. For example no recording, no wireless connection to XBox 360, No FM recording and unfortunately, No wireless connection to the Zune Marketplace, No calendar, No sorry you cannot see the Zune marketplace also... I don't have enough time to keep telling you all the "No's"

I do have to tap my hat off to Robert Scoble for asking the hard questions no one has asked yet!

I'm still excited to get a Zune. All the features it doesn't have is the same as my iPods. Maybe the simplicity and lack of features the Zune provides is what will make it easily adoptable. That's always has been what the iPod's were known for. I hope the Zune store and software can work more simple then iTunes. Yes iTunes is easy to use however sometimes I feel like I just want a place my music in my player myself other then a sync. Only time will determine though if the Zune will be a hit or a miss. I probably will get a Zune and keep my 8gb Nano.
this thing is going to be about as popular as the BetaMax machines were. They missed the boat big time.
I had to wake myself up like at least 4 times during the video. Not sure if the questions were asked about rediculously small storage size and battery life expectations.
Good interview... but do note that, if he was asking those same questions of iPod, the answers would also be "no".
At least Zune gets digital players going in the right direction by using wireless and connectivity, albeit in limited fashion.
It's a baby step, but it's clearly a step in the right direction.
