Fortte Cases for the T-Mobile Dash. Great Protection!

Stylish, Affordable, Quality Protection - Two Thumbs up!

If you like me the first thing you purchase after getting a new phone is a case. I have been running the T-Mobile Dash for the past couple of months and I was not very happy with the case that came with the phone. The good people over at Fortte, a Mobility Today sponsor, were kind enough to send me a couple of cases for the Dash and I have been putting them through the paces for the past couple of weeks.

The two cases that I have been using are the Dash Dual Design Leather Smartphone Case and the Dash Open Face Leather Smartphone Case. Both cases are made from high quality leather and they fit the Dash like a glove. Both of these cases are very similar. The difference is the Dual Design case has a Removable Flip cover protector that snaps onto the case. While I am not a big fan of this type of case, I don’t like to have to open a case to use my phone, I have found this to case to be great while working around the house or doing yard work and I have been using this as my primary case for the Dash.

The flip cover is made of the same leather that the case is made of, has a hard inner core, and is padded to add additional protection. The inside of the flip cover also has a slot that allows you to carry a credit card or your license. I can actually fit both in my case. What I really like about this case is the fact that if you don’t want to use the cover all you have to do is undo the snap on the back of the case and you in essence have the Open Face Smartphone case. I really like the versatility of this case.

The Open Face Leather Smartphone Case is very similar to the Dual Design case less the optional flip cover. The model that I received came with a belt clip that allows me to clip the case to my belt. The clip is made of high quality plastic and the case has a metal nub on the case to ensure a good connection to the clip. The other difference is the Open Face case has a magnetic closure that wraps around the top of the Dash to keep it securely in place, the dual Design Case has a snap

Both cases have a metal cradle wrapped in leather on the bottom of the case to hold the Dash in place. When I first saw this I was a little skeptical that this would work. My fear was catching this on something and having the Dash fall out. Fortte really did their homework on this because this cradle is very strong and will not bend or give. I have not experienced a single problem with the cradle either of these cases.

As far as I am concerned both of these cases are a winner. They both allow access to all of the controls as well as the keyboard and camera. They add very little weight and bulk to the device which is defiantly a plus. With both of these cases the Dash still maintains its thin profile and has more than adequate protection.

I did not find anything that I did not like about either case. I would recommend these case to anyone who has a Dash and is looking for a good high quality case.

Each case is available from Fortte. The Dual Design case retails for $39.99 and the Open Face case is $29.99. Both cases are available with different clip options or you can order them without any clip.

My impression of this case is quite different:

Jerry,

Fortte comes pretty close. I would put them between Vaja and Krusell. The leather is of good quality and the stitching is well done and even. I have been using these for 3 weeks and I am not easy on my phones and the case still looks new. There are no bad scuffs or marks on them.
Steve,

How does the leather on the Fortte cases compare to the Vaja?

My experience with leather cases have been (best from left to right).

Vaja>Krusell>Sena>EBCases
