AT&T Mobile Backup

Once activated, the service begins an automatic backup process that can be scheduled at the interval of your choosing. Once the system has uploaded your info, it becomes available via an online interface. You are then free to add, delete, and import contacts from your phone or the web, with all changes being reflected on your device. The service is currently available for a host of handsets, including the majority of AT&T's non smartphone devices.

We heard the launch date for this service would be June, 8th but it looks like it's available now for $1.99 a month. You can get all of the details here.

Similar services exist for free for non-smartphones handsets with SyncML (e.g. mobical.net). This free service also sync the Calendar and Tasks.
I will still rely on my existing backup sevice, zyb.com. i don't wantto pay for backup.
I agree Mick. Now, if this "feature" was something akin to what Palm has (ie. full data backup, including apps, etc) for their Palm OS Treos, then that would be more useful.
While this appears to be a great option for those with non-smartphones, I think most with windows mobile or other pda style devices do this over the air or by connecting them to a pc. My $2 per month could be better spent on something else. Just my opinion...
