Another relly nice application in this genre is SMS Client from Empirical Solutions. It is light on graphics but it follows the standard Microsoft format which makes it ver intuitive and easy to use. It's retailing at $7.50.

I would strongly recommend you to try SMS-Chat from iWindowsMobile.com
This one provides outstanding graphical user interface and is extremely finger friendly. verything can be done with fingers.
The direct link to best threaded sms messaging client SMS-Chat is http://iwindowsmobile.com/threaded-sms-messaging.html
www.pocket-sms.com has a very cheap and very fast threaded SMS application. it's got a very useful notification functionality and also supports various display configurations for large/small texts and different colours.
Others are having issues with the trial.

Looks like some HoFo'ers are reporting that the app severely slowed down a TyTn II, and that Textr replaces the OEM text messaging. Some are complaining that having a separate app and watching it launch was a PIA.
Does not seem to allow trial, even though they advertise that you get a 21 day trial.
I wish this supported WM6 Standard :( I used the Palm threaded SMS on my 8525 but there is a distinct lack of threaded SMS for WM smartphone/standard...
The correct link for downloading it is:

Thanks so much for posting this :)
Nice find Dave. If I didn't have a Treo, I would definately download it. I think I will anyways, because who know what I will wind up next. :)

The first link doesn't work (the download Textr).
