Samsung F700 to spoil iPhone's party

So, O2 UK looks like it might snare the iPhone, eh? No matter, because Vodafone's bagged its arch rival – and yes it does have HSDPA

It's dilemma time: iPhone or Samsung F700? Vodafone's just announced it’s signed up the Apple beater, which, unlike its US competitor, does have high-speed 3G data. And a proper keyboard, an auto focus camera and a memory card slot.
There's no flash memory on-board but a 4GB MicroSD should start to make up for that.
Samsung's also got its own new touchscreen interface, dubbed 'Croix'

3MP Camera and HSDPA 3.6Mbps – but that still beats the 2MP iPhone with its measly EDGE data, gasping for air at a frankly poor 0.4Mbps top speed.
If Tuesday's Apple announcement is what we think it is, we could see these two giants fighting out within mere months.

No wifi, tri-band gsm and not a US release. Some say if you have 3G who needs wifi. Well, if you have no signal then you have nothing.
Is it a Unix OS, or Symbian? It definitely looks to be proprietary, wonder if there will be 3rd party app capability.

I have heard from people who I know that own the iPhone that is has needed to be reset, others say it has not, so I guess that it would really be hard to come to any kind of decision making conclusion or accurate generalization without having some unbiased, objective and verifiable stats. Barring that we are just entering the realm of subjective conjecture and opinions.
It's all about the software. We all know Windows Mobile and others have yet to release anything as nice as the iPhone (OSX). I dont have an iPhone, but everyone I know that has one states they have yet to reset the device and it just works amazing.

Sure, it's got some nice specs (a real kb, but that adds to the thickness) and even looks like an iPhone. But is it an iPhone killer? I don't think so.

First, it doesn't seem to have wifi. As I understand it, that seems to be an real important feature in Europe as data plans seem to be rediculously high.

Second, sure, you can buy an 4gb or up to 6gb (at least that's the most Sandisk offers) but that's an added expense.

"It's the software stupid".....this concept may reign supreme as the iPhone already shown that it has a great browser, HTML email (although not push from an Exchange standpoint), and a media player regarded as one of the best in the industry, and visual voicemail (provided on other carriers??).

Plus, as we are seeing now, iPhone can run 3rd party apps. What apps will be available for the Samsung?
So..any idea on what OS this one comes with?
