“THE CELL PHONE JUNKIE” RELEASES 100TH PODCAST
Expert Guests Join Host Mickey Papillon during Special Episode of
Popular Independent Program Devoted to the Cell Phone Industry
PHOENIX – April 22, 2008 – The Cell Phone Junkie, one of the nation’s leading independent podcasts devoted to the cell phone industry, will release its 100th program on April 27, 2008, according to founder and host Mickey Papillon. The free program will include special guests who are considered experts in the field of cell phones and mobile phone technology, and will be available on the website (www.thecellphonejunkie.com) as of Sunday, April 27.
“We’re extremely excited to be doing our 100th program,” said Papillon, a longtime cell phone user and an authority on mobile phone technology. “Since our inception in 2006, The Cell Phone Junkie programs have been downloaded by more than 100,000 listeners, so we believe we’re providing a valuable service to many people. Worldwide, there are approximately 3 billion cell phone users and, in some countries, cell phone penetration is actually more than 100 percent.”
Joining Papillon on the April 27 program will be co-host Joey Koppes of Minneapolis, Minnesota. A March podcast even discussed the British government’s decision to test the installation of soft padding on streetlamps in London because so many citizens have been walking into them inadvertently while talking on their cell phones.
