I posted an article at the end of last week about the online O2 store showing that the iPhone was no longer available in any flavour, this news spread around the web like wild fire and suddenly O2 changed their site and found some 16GB models for sale.
Well now if you go to either the UK or US Apple Store that same message now appears:-

Is this a big deal? well in my opinion yes because Apple would say 2-3 weeks if this was a temporary stock problem, I think this has to be the clearest sign yet of the imminent arrival of the new 3G iPhone. I was in the local O2 store yesterday and I asked the sales rep if he knew when the 3G iPhone would be available and he told me "within 9 weeks", personally I think we are going to see it sooner than that, June will see it announced and I think it will be available with the launch of the new 1.2 firmware.
