Just an FYI, I just downloaded the TYTN II ROM from MoDaCo's site and installed it on my Tilt. It went flawless and works like a champ. It recognized TMobile right away and automatically setup all the features. If there's people that don't want to wait for the "official" Tilt ROM and have already unlocked their Tilt and use HardSPL, this works.
Whatever AT&T is doing to upgrade the network pre-3g iPhone must be complete in the Atlanta area. On the Tilt I'm getting speeds of 1100 - 1200+ kbits per second on dslreports (in PIE) today!
Great podcast! The chatroom was fun! Hey I need some followers on Twitter...hehe...https://twitter.com/mherald
We are still trying to find the back door Mike snuck out in?
Figures....I can't stand the Simpsons.
Jerry he is from the Simpsons...

Thanks to everyone that watched and participated in the chat room. We had a great time last night. You should see the stuff that did not make the Podcast.
Who the heck is Ned Flanders? :)

/nick newnickname

That changes to another nickname - I think it needs to be longer than 6 characters or it will append some random numbers onto your new nickname. The client follows pretty standard IRC protocols so most commands worked for me.

That was a lot of fun - I had to bail about halfway through but I'll tune in again next week.

BTW, Jerry didn't look anything like I expected. I was picturing Ned Flanders LOL.
Dave stated that AT&T will not release any other version of a touch oriented device while they have the iPhone. Wouldn't that explain why they did not pickup the GSM version of the HTC Touch?
This was my first opportunity to watch a Mobility Today podcast live: Dave - thanks for the mention. A couple of housekeeping questions:

- on the upstream.tv chat, most participants were identified by their user name. I was just upstreamer-xxxxx. How do I use my user name?

- it looked like you were taking comments and questions off Skype and I thought I could hear a very faint voice at times. The four of you came through loud and clear. How can I hear the Skype calls?

Sorry if these questions are trivial; I'm a newbie.

During the launch of the original iPhone, Apple had an official policy of recommending the Jawbone for customers requiring a noise cancellation headset. You were right on that point. However, I think the latest Jawbone has already been released, so it proceeds the new iPhone release. It's possible the latest Jawbone could be outfitted in Apple kit for the iPhone release, just as there apparently will be a Jawbone in AT&T kit.

The most important comment of the podcast was Michael Manna's reference to the tentative legislative steps to decouple carrier networks from mobile phone choices. Think of all the conversations we wouldn't be having if this was the law of the land.
Lots of phone talk tonight, my favorite!
