@David, Physboy:
The absence of the 850MHz band is of no real concern to me as I am not from the states! :P I'm based in India, and we use the 900 and 1800 frequencies! I am upgrading to either the TyTn II or the Diamong (if I can sort out the confusion that is!), but I am a heavy texter/email user, and hance text entry is very important to me!
Also, Dave, can you please run some benchmarks on this and compare it to the TyTn II? I would like to see how powerful this one is to the TyTn! I would love a video similar to the one you did with the TyTn II!! :)

I would wait reevester, to see what they release in US for an unlocked version. Again, if T-Mo USA picks up the Vario IV version of the Diamond, that comes with a slide out QWERTY and expandable memory.
Of course the unlocked US version will have 850 if T-Mo USA picks up the Vario IV. T-Mo USA has every reason to pick up the Vario IV since they need to hit the ground running with their release of 3G this year.

Reevster no this phone in particular is a triband not quadband so coverage will be spotty.

Guys, in your opinion, is this better than the TyTn II in most if not all ways?
What I mean is that is the qwerty keyboard a necessity if ur into heavy email/sms usage, or is the Diamond able to cope with that as well? Cos this device looks slick and I am all confused about my purchase now! :S

Did you ever see my iphone test Mherald? With the invisible shield? Need I say more?

Will you be doing some stress tests on your Diamond, Dave?
|
|
LOL! That would have been a scary situation!

It could have been worse. He could have been locked in that room with the Mobility Today panel.
