Review: Bodyguardz Screen Protector for iPhone 3G

A new champion is awarded as the InvisibleShield takes second.

Many of you know how much of a big fan I was of the popular Zagg product The InvisibleShield. Unfortunately lately I have been noticing a significant decrease in quality with the material they are using for their shield. After numerous back and forth conversations with them I came to the conclusion that they just don't make them the way they did.

Now that brings me to another company BodyGuardz who make a screen protector too. Like the InvisibleShield, BodyGuardz scratch-proof transparent skins are designed to custom fit each particular device for full body and screen protection. BodyGuardz protectors are made from the same material that is used to protect the front of automobiles from stones and other abrasive elements..

Last night I decided to take the plunge and apply my BodyGuardz screen protector for my iPhone 3G. As you can see by the photos below these have no orange peel effect and they are as clear as glass!!! I am completely blown away by the clarity and the glass like finish. I am going to continue to put the protector through some stress tests and will report back with my conclusion.

So far this is a huge milestone from the InvisibleShield.

I wonder if they will make one for the G1
Dave, how was the application of the product and how did everything fit? Ive read people having trouble with the corners fitting correctly. Please update and let us know cause I think this is a great lightweight solution to protecting your phone.
Bill yes it is a FULL body shield and they give you two per box!

Jerry that is the incase slider.
What case are you using
Do they have a full body shield or just the front?
Agree... I have had InvisibleShield's on a few of my devices in the past, but lately I have had no luck with them. I went through 3 of them before getting one that was SEMI-clear. They all have that Orange-peel look to them.

I tried to Zagg to replace them, but they told me "this is the normal imperfections of the material being used" and it's not covered under there warentee. So I returned them to Best buy (Glad I purchased it from bestbuy).

Will try Bodygaurdz...!!!
