T4Show rides with the ATT Navigator

Michael Manna of T4 Show took the newly announced ATT Navigator out for a spin. I have been using this for 3 days so far and I am blown away with how fast this GPS locks. I am unsure if it has anything to do with the compass but it clearly is dead on!

I personally have been really enjoying the realtime traffic alerts. These alerts aren't just a detour but a full explanation of how fast traffic is traveling along with giving you an option to completely avoid the road! Ill take you through a full overview within the next few days but Michael Manna beat me to it

Determining location from GPS time signals is an optimization problem. The faster the processor the better. While a magnetic compass heading combined with the previous location and velocity would could give a better starting point to the next location calculation, there wouldn't be any advantage to the GPS-derived heading.

I was interested to see if the AT&T service announced exit and street names (unlike Garmin Mobile XT and CoPilot Live 7 which only display names.) Now I have my answer. Still not sure if the feature is worth $10 or more a month though.
I have been using this on my T-Mobile G1 for awhile now and it locks up quick and is very accurate! I love TeleNav!
Very nice Michael! I should make one of me using my Pre to drive to the Sprint Store...lol
