HTC to include built-in task manager

HTC has decided to include a built-in task manager with all their devices with AKU 3.2 or later. The task manager will include functionality for closing applications either by pressing the "X" or by doing a press-and-hold of the "X". Bravo to HTC for providing this functionality that Microsoft has vehemently protested even since the early days of the Windows Mobile OS.

The only question I have is what exactly is meant by "HTC devices"? Does this mean only HTC branded devices (i.e. TyTn) or all devices made by HTC and provided to other OEM's?

i am thadani india wanted app
I tried Pocket Nav and it didn't work with my MDA. Also, I don't have this app. Is there a way to get it for my MDA?
Seems to be nothing more than a rip-off of Scott Seligman's Pocket Nav application that I've been using for years - a neat shareware program.
Glad to see it finally "built in" even if it is HTC ware...
Theres a host of freeware apps out there that do this...
This is somehow even funnier after the recent Windows Mobile blog about why MS will be keeping the X as a "minimize" not a "close" button...
Kudos HTC!
Microsoft should be ashamed.
Fugita,

There's tons of applications out there that provide task management. The point here is that you won't have to load an extra application in order to perform this fundamentally simple operation.
I just use the Omega 1 Battery pack pro. It doesn't close when you click it but it does have a list of all the open programs in a drop down menu off the X button that you can use to close any open program you want.
Yeah, I would hope that this would include T-Mobile's MDA (HTC Wizard) Devices too!
