Thank you Apple for fixing my battery life

This is the third or fourth day with firmware 2.0.1 for my iPhone. I have to admit, my battery life has improved. Not just by a little but a lot. Before the update I would not be able to make it home from work with just 3g on and forget push. Since the update I have seen my iPhone not just make it home, but without hitting the 20% mark. I am at 30-35% with heavy use, 3G, push, wi-fi, and GPS on.

Again, this is why I love Apple. I made a commitment to them and they make the same commitment to me. They promise that my phone will work and work well. They don't promise any features, but they will throw them into their updates as a bonus. Windows Mobile phones are not bad, but the support they get for bugs, hard resets, or upgrades are little to none. (I am glad to see HTC stepping up trying to change this)

Thank you Apple

JC while battery life has improved a little it is still not where it should be. Hopefully the next udate will fix this. Also still having a few issues with EDGE to 3G hand off
I was at the mall yesterday and I ALMOST pulled the trigger and purchased an iPhone. Why didn't I do it?

1. Corporate discount on my account means I would have to call ATT take the discount off then buy the iPhone, activate it, and then call ATT again to put it back on. I just didn't want to be bothered.

2. One of the biggest things I do with my Windows Mobile device is carry files of all different types (ie. Word, Pdf's, .txt files, Excel, etc). I know there is a File Magnet application that lets an iPhone do this BUT it is only for Mac owners. I also know you can kind of achieve this by storing attachments via email, but I don't want to have to clog up my email account with emails just to store files.

3. My Cruise works just fine, and there's really no reason to ditch it just for a device I would have to "compromise" the way I use a mobile device.

4. Quality of applications for what I want and need. Yes, although there are now plenty of apps in the app store, I still think that the quality is still not there for many of the apps that I use on a day-to-day basis. I have read many of the comments (you have to since you can't try a trial version), and some apps seem to have some strange shortcomings. While Apple has been quick to offer point upgrades to the OS, it hasn't been that quick in making available 3rd party apps that supposedly have bug fixes.
As long as everyone has a phone they like... ;)
ok... disclaimer.. JcJdoss is an apple fanboy and at times will go off on a rant as to why he loves apple.

Stay tuned as we will have Bill (URPREY) and Mike (MHerald) post their reasons why Windows Mobile is their choice.

Interesting it will be. Thx J for sharing.
