Other than 3g vs. wifi, how does the Dash compare to the Blackjack. Is one way better (excluding 3g of course)?

How about us that don't have 3g in our area but I have wifi at work and at home. Should I go Dash or Blackjack?

Battery life seems to be very short! Any other users having this problem?

I got my Blackjack yesterday. Terrific. Downside for me is no Pocket Word or Pocket Excel. The only viewer is the Piscel Viewer and it doesn't zoom in enough to see my Word or Excel documents. I can't find another viewer to try either. Any thoughts?

Picked mine up today - After reviewing the Samsing i320 I had a feeling this would be my next device.
Love the form factor, the screen is amazing and I'm actually fond of the soft rubber backing.

No crippling of the bluetooth.. :)

I was able to con my cingular store to get one yesterday as well. So far I love the form factor and the speed over my 8125. It is nice to have a phone that will fit in my shirtpocket, but hey I know if this doesn't work there is the 8525. The price point of this phone is great as well!

Yes Mickey I am so far impressed with my local store! They were more than helpful.

Good luck to you dave with Cingular. I had them for over a year and was very happy with my service with them overall...

Nice to hear Dave. I decided Monday, Blackjack over Dash. I'm hitting the Cingular store tomorrow. My SX 66 will hit the drawer unless my wife wants it. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

I dont trust those maps GeekNJ! I can tell you I drove through North Jersey also in Long Island no problem whatsoever with 3G. The Blackjack by far has a stronger radio. Also I was told the 3G Sims DO make a difference.
JN
I installed Sling (btw doesnt work yet) also OZ Instant Messenger..
My coverage map says I am not in the area but as you can see I am :)

I just went and looked and the coverage in Northern NJ is horrendous. Hope you don't travel much north of where you live Dave. If you go to NYC you'd be ok but between you and me, there's nearly no 3G coverage.

Good for you Dave! I would be real interested in battery life when using HSDPA.
Also, do you plan on installing any 3rd party applications? If so, which?
Did you actually check the HSDPA coverage map on Cingular's site and compared it to where you have gotten signals?
