CNN announces CNN Mobile

I just got this scoop this morning from CNN and tried it on my Blackjack and works like a charm. In collaboration with mobile specialist Ericsson, CNN has redeveloped its existing service meaning that you can now access CNN world news wherever you are. View hourly updated video headlines (on 3G phones), read blogs from our international correspondents from the field, access 5 day weather forecasts for 1,000 cities and receive free Breaking News SMS alerts.

The new WAP service can be previewed on mobile devices only at cnnmobile.com

Some features are :
  • The site will offer CNN Video on-demand through a unique 2 min per hour ‘World News Now’ global news update.
  • Navigation will be colour coded to easily differentiate news environments.
  • The site will offer in excess of 120 stories per day with multiple images to support and enhance each story.
  • There will be access to extensive weather services, personalisation against 1000 cities, inclusion of a 5 day forecast, air travel delay news & ski reports.
  • Users will be able to search an archive from the last 14 days, with access to over 2000 stories.
  • The site will also promote our enhanced SMS Breaking News Alert service and offer an easy sign up online.

anti-Bush, anti-republican, anti-american, pro-islamic propaganda 24/7...... only a US hater would want CNN in his life.
I don't think you can. However, at the 3GSM show in Barcelona, they were showing this really cool app that was running on Sony Ericsson and Nokia phones. It is basically a higher end version of the WAP deck, and in that app, you could add cities of interest to your weather deck and pick your favourite one to be displayed when the app launched. That one also had more video and an amazing user interface. They've really got their act together on the wireless side!
I haven't been able to change London as the default displayed weather location. I could see my local weather but after a series of menus.
lol...that was going to be my question too!!!

Cool that they have it now though!
Nice site. However, has anyone else been able to change London as the displayed weather location?
