Google Android Touchscreen Demo

The guys over at Android Community have got some exclusive picture and videos of a much improved Google Android OS running on an HTC device

It looks so much better than what we have seen in the past as these exclusive demo videos show, the Android team have been putting in some long hours bringing the user interface up to the standard people expect. The iPhone sets the bar high, and leftfield rivals like Samsung’s TouchWiz GUI really pile on the pressure.

What they’ve given us is, at first glance, a blend of the successful parts of each of those, together with a dose of Google’s own minimalist aesthetic.

Check out Android Community for loads more pictures and videos which should wet the appetite for devices running on Android.

MS, BB, and Apple will be feeling the release of Android with out a doubt. If this is done right, and I have no reason to assume that it will not, Android will help raise the bar for all. This is good for consumers without a doubt!
I am impressed. This is going to put a world of hurt on WM.
Looks very good. But looking behind Android at the HTC hardware in the demo - it looks a lot cooler than the upcoming HTC Diamond. Maybe the HTC WM handset designers could learn something from the demo as well.
I only have one thing to say.. echoo.....echoo....echooooooooo....
I hope the option to install your own OS turns out to be true as mentioned by one of the devs, if so Xda will be the place to be!
Exactly my point CleanGene. I think that Android can really get the ball rolling as far as continuing to raise the bar in the Mobile Space.
Some of those features are pretty cool. The more players in the game, the better and greater the innovations.
Looks nice! Microsoft definitely has some work to do.
