How an Apple ad sets the wrong expectations

As much as I do like the iPhone, Unslow, one of Apple's new iPhone 3G television ads, has me wondering how they kept from laughing hilariously when they put this on the air. Try to follow along with your own iPhone 3G. I did and this is exactly what I got when I tried. I think this is a great YouTube video and I don't think anyone can argue.

I saw this add first time a few days ago. The last point, "download files", got me curious. 99% of the ways to download files including P2P apps, FTP, etc. are forbidden by the AT&T "Rate Plan Terms," that mind-numbing 17 page document that's sent to every new user. So how can they be so cavalier about file downloading in the ad?

The point is that even if there were no other Apple iPhone 3G or AT&T issues, there's a wide gulf between the fantasy presented in these ads and the reality of what Apple and AT&T are actually allowing us to do with our phones.
Word around town is that iPhone is not more stable than WM devices:

So who are we to believe, the Phanboys who claim the iPhone is more stable than WM devices or the iPhone owners who are not happy with the stability of the iPhone post 2.0?
LOVE THIS VIDEO!

Is there ever any truth in advertising anymore? I DO think the ad gives a quick look at some key features/functions in a quick 15 sec. spot, but its not an accurate representation of AT&T 3G network at all. I bet AT&T likes this video more then anyone!

On the other-hand, I if I tried this on my Treo 750... ooops, it locked up. :)

Just dont call me a fanboy
And yes another reason I am glad I didn't get one .... and may never get one... thanks!
What is interesting is I only know of 3 people that have an iPhone and they are at my office. None of my personal friends/family have one. I'll send this to the 3 co-workers that have one.
Every day there's another reason to justify NOT buying an iPhone!
Does this mean iPhone owners have more time to waste than the rest of us mere mortals?
Also forgot.. not to mention 1/3 the battery life!! I agree Guy!
I love this video!!!! I don't this JDoss can argue this.
