I'm sure you are perfectly aware of how absolutely rubbish the sound quality of this podcast was. Besides the constant drop-outs, the levels are different for all the participants and is in general way too low. I can never go from another podcast to MobilityToday without cranking up the volume.
Come on guys, you can do better than this!! If 106 is of similar quality, I may have to reconsider listening (I almost didn't make it all the way through this one, that's how frustrating it was trying to make a word out of what was said)

This podcast should be changed from Mobility Today to Microsoft Windows Mobile Yesterday Same as Today. What if I can't put movies on my Psp, I won't be able to learn anything from this podcast on anything other than Windows Mobile. Broaden your horizons please!! Why are you afraid of Google's android? Embrace it!!

I do not see the iPhone as a solution to the problem, but I agree wholeheartedly with what Chris points out regarding the hobby WM platform that MS makes.

The only reason we are bashing windows mobile is that we are frustrated with it. We all used to use it, some of us still do and learned alot from it but it has stood still too long and microsoft is treating us like mugs. They need to give us a product that we can be proud to use again and enjoy using. They need to invest in the product and stop treating it like its a second class citizen. I never used an apple product before the iPhone hell I never wanted too but now I have its a breath of fresh air. Give me a stable windows mobile device that's a pleasure to use and I will be all over it.

Thanks Jerry. I have heard you on The Cell Phone Junkie and I like listening to you. You are extremely knowledgeable about these topics and always interesting to listen to.

Try to get support for device telling a service rep that you were hacking the registry. Either way, both reg hacks and jailbreaks can be undone before bringing a phone in for service.

Thanks. Does hacking the registry void the phone's warranty like I have jail breaking it does?

1. You can’t use your own MP3 sounds to make ringtones. - wrong.
2. Doesn’t have an eBook reader program - wrong
3. Doesn’t have Bluetooth 2.0 - wrong (It has BT 2.0 EDR, which is more than be said for many WM devices).
4. Doesn’t have 802.11 g/e Wi-Fi - wrong (it has b/g like all other mobile devices).
5.Doesn’t have real downloadable programs, only Web Apps that force you to go online to use. - wrong. (Jailbreaking the device is easier than hacking a registry, or most certainly loading a new ROM).

Besides Bluetooth 2.0, what else was wrong?

Not only the irrelevant things, but the things that are just plain inaccuracies.

I enjoy your podcast, you guys keep it interesting! Are you guys paid by Apple? You sound like Guy Kawasaki!!
From your comments about the Tim Hildebrand article on Mobility Site, it sounds like you don't disagree with Tim on whether the iPhone can do most of the things he mentions, you question his focus on things that are irrelevant to vast a majority of users.

Hello Dave, I have started listening to you guys recently. Can I get a little background on why you guys are so loyal to Microsoft. You guys sound like disgruntled Microsoft employees. Dave, why did you give up your iPhone for a Touch? It sounds like your going backwards.

Sorry about the connection guys. I usually avg about 9600kps/450kps but like technology itself, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad.

What the hell was Jerry connected to you guys with? A Windows Mobile phone? Jeez. You'd never drop that many times with ... say ... an iPHONE ...
Or two tin cans and a piece of string. (Crap, Steve beat me to that one. Better let you yahoos finish before I comment next time.)
Fun show, though.
If you visit Mobilitysite with Safari on an iPhone, does it still suck?

You guys can download the S2U2 app from the link above. However, it is still on the XDA site:
