Yeah, it is scary what is going to happen in the future with Nextel! Take a look at what AT&T/Cingular has done with the TDMA network though. You are hard pressed to find that many people left on the network, and it has only been about 18-24 months since they started to really migrate people off of it. If you take a look at the plans down the road for what they want to do, there will be plenty of time for Nextel customers to switch over to the Sprint network. And believe me, since most of the Nextel folks are enterprise, they will do it in a way that is beneficial to the corporations. They don't want to, and can't afford to lose the business!
Mickey talked about a phone coming out for the sprint/nextel market and then mentioned sprints plan is to do away with the iden problems. In my area 90 percent of people carry nextel and sprints coverage isnt that hot . I know this scarys alot of nextel user around here if they force people to change to sprint. I still don't understand why palm hasn't come out with a Two-treo for any of the carriers as it seems to be an up and coming technology that nextel has tapped for years!
