mReplay Mobi 2.0 is a free Slingplayer Mobile software that allows you to control, watch, record, edit and share your Slingbox stream.
Get an mReplay account at www.mreplay.com/ and then download this private beta install on your mobile phone:
www.mreplay.com/mobi/mobi2.cab
Also, they have a web browser player called mReplay Live where you can more easily enter your Slingbox information and save it to your account.

If Orb works, then by all means, don't change. But for $200 or less you can have a plug-and-play device with Slingbox. No PC to maintain and power, configure, etc.
Look at Slingbox like the iPod. It's a plug-and-play device you don't need to be an expert in something to use. There might be another solution that has other features, but I don't think it's as clean a package as Slingbox.
Plus, I don't want a computer running in the bedroom controlling my DVR like the Slingbox does.
If Orb works, great, but to say the Slingbox isn't impressive is all in the eye of the beholder.

Nice review..but I'm not impressed. Using your podcast as a timer, I logged into my Orb account (free btw) on an i730 (@ 1X...140K) and was streaming live tv 4 seconds before sling WITHOUT having to load a player onto the phone. As noted above by the orb guy, I also stream my entire music collection and share photos thru Orb. So, I'm sticking with Orb.

Hey, Dave - Ian from Orb here. Great review!
I actually love the way Sling have handled favorites within the application interface and the way they've done the slideshow option - sometimes audio is all you need. (I've certainly spent my fair share of time just LISTENING to The Daily Show streaming via Orb to my 3650's RealPlayer at 20k while driving home at night on the 880.)
While down at Mix06 this past week in Vegas, I was sitting in a hookah lounge streaming a recording of Dr Who from my MCE box to my Samsung i730 over EVDO. As the good doctor would say: "FanTAStic!"
I'm glad owners of a Slingbox can now have the same experience on their own Win smartphones! It really is amazing to be able to have ALL your home TV channels right there at your fingertips.
And, of course, if they have a lot of music at home they also want to stream to that device, there's always Orb...

Sling also looks like they took care of the home end by offering the slinglink that basically plugs from the router into a device that plugs into the electrical system. Then another device plugs into another outlet and then into the sling player.
Ingenious. Dave, can you comment on how this works?

Hey, isn't that Vince Young in the image above? You know, the quarterback for the National Champions, Texas Longhorns? The quarterback that led the greatest comeback in college football history?
Nice video review, Dave! :)
