Mobility Today Video Review - Pioneer Inno

Mobility Today Video Podcast is available now and you now can Download the m4v directly here. Or you can use our iTunes Video feed by clicking here

Today David Ciccone gives an overview of the Pioneer Inno for XM Radio. Overall this unit is a rock solid device. It offers true portability at a decent price. Giving the user the flexibility to record on the fly is a huge plus for the music enthusiast. We would like for XM to not force users to use the Napster interface but I guess its a cheaper way to get some good and fast DRM on this baby. Since I am starting to get into the health kick and running this unit is fantastic for the athlete looking for a satellite radio solution. Way to go Pioneer!

I just got an inno to replace my 2yr old Delphi xm2go. It seems nice so far, but I really liked the fm transmitter in my house with the delphi. I thought of just using a car kit inside, but it would be nice if Pioneer could provide a software fix. Why did they change this from early innos? The car antenna is smaller and doesn't fit the home cradle. Is the smaller car antenna as good as the larger home antenna if I do use the car kit in the house?
Also, my home cradle power supply is quite noisy. I'll take it in to Circuit City who will happily exchange it, but I hope they don't all emit a droning buzz. Has anyone else had a noisy transformer? Thanks

I bought one a couple days ago & returned it today for a full refund.
you have to shell out an additional 40-50 bucks, on top of what the unit already costs (300$),
to buy the headphones with the special antena in order for it to be portable.
Not sure why those headphones were not originally included but the unit will have horrible reception with out them.
I could only here every other verse of the song when I carried with me..this pissed me off.
I would not recommend this product unless you are willing to purchase the separt head phones.
$400. of junk ! took it back got my money back.
No no problems at all.. Walt always has problems with technology sometimes.. :)
Hi, Dave. I'm sure you saw Walt Mossberg's review where he ran into reception problems taking the Inno around DC. Can't tell from the review if you played with the unit outside of your car cradle, which I understand has an external antenna. I'd want to be able to clip the Inno to my belt and walk the dog without having the reception kick in and out. Do you have any insight?
Sure! No problem ;)
Do I get the review unit for listing the first comment? ;) I am an XM subscriber after all! ;)
Hey all I would love to hear your comments. We had over 4k downloads of this review and not one comment. I know I am not that good..
