Just announced yesterday at CTIA that Palm will be offering a free upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.0 with HSDPA.. According to our sources we can now say this is a video of the final shipping ROM .

The Treo 750 with Windows Mobile 6.0 is definitely a huge upgrade for speed everything else is status quo. Some nice additions are the Windows Live client with Messenger and the the new encryption. Great news for those waiting for 3G... The Windows Mobile 6 release fully supports 3G, even with the 3G icon! I definitely think Palm will release the 3G patch for Cingular customers at the same time the upgrade is available for Windows Mobile 6.. Either way click on the play button to get a look at the speed boost!

Can you give me the link to Palm Treo 750 WM6 Upgrade. I own one and I can’t find the link to upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0 windows mobile, only comments about it. Thanks.

most be nice to be on ATT. VZW would NEVER do anything like this for the 700 or 750. "you buy new phone NOW!" "no upgrade for you, one year."

I had a KJAM well over a year and it was tweaked to the hilt. Even so, as far a pur phone is concerned it does not even compare to the Treo. First, the slide out keyboard is a PIA. For the occasional text message, document, etc, it is tolerable, however for dialing phone numbers it's just not something you want to do. Other things that make the Treo just a better phone are dialing from the today screen, Ignore a call with a text message, phonemail controls, and having a keyboard always available rather than having to touch a screen to do something.

I don't get what the big deal is with Treos. I had 1 2 years ago. I'm on Cingular 8125, HTC Wizard now, much much better than a Treo. Pull out keyboard. Running WM6 (Crossbow) since early January. It's the best phone I ever had, great flexibility to customize everything. I'm glad there's at least a Windows version of Treo, because PalmOS is for novice users. Windows Mobile provides so much more. By the way, there's also a new feature for Internet Calling in WM6, I wonder how the cell phone providers will take advantage of that.
