Has anyone activated the Cingular wireless? I was very disappointed and cancelled the account because it was slower than my dial-up. Does anyone have an alternative since the 180p does not accept pcmcia?

I'm new to the forum and looking forward to reading about user experiences using the 180p or the newer 280p. I'm reading posts about the keyboard above. I purchase one from Ergonomic Resources that is only eight inches. It is a USB connect and is working well. Item # DS31/31-Black
Super Mini USB Keyboard - Black

Dave, awesome device. I'm hooked on gadgets like this and think it will compliment my Blackberry 8700C and Inno XM Satellite receiver. I look forward to purchasing one real soon. I bet it works great with a Slingbox.

That keyboard setup looks sweet. Mind telling me who makes it? Thanks.

Thank you. I agree about the writing style on the Q1. It's taking a lot of time getting used to it. I've got a UX on order. I hope I have the same experience that you seem to be having.

I have used the Q1, Tablet Kiosk and now the UX. For me the UX was more down the alley of what i need. The Q1 screen is EXTREMELY dark outdoors. XBrite rocks on the UX. Also TabletOS is a PITA for the Q1 to me. Everyone has to adapt their style of writing to lay their wrist on the edge of the Q1 due to the touch screen. UX's keyboard fits me perfectly.

Dave, you had a chance to see and tinker with Kevin's Q1 at the social in NYC, why the UX180P and not the Q1? I'm considering a UX purchase and would appreciate your thoughts.

We're expecting nearly a dozen UX'es in our SonyStyle store, so I'm looking forward to unboxing one for display and another to buy and bring home. ;) Nice photos DC

You KNOW I've got nuthin' but love for you, Dave; but I've got a SERIOUS case of PC envy pointed at you and your Sony UX! Very cool!!

Just read the specs on the SonyStyle website. Very impressive.
Now if they would only add a mini sd slot (grinning) they might have the ultimate device.

Shhhhh... Dont tell my wife... Lol.. Right now I am in the process of uninstalling alot of the freeware stuff. Also uninstalled Symantec and installed One Care live..

VERY VERY cool.....
I have a very serious case of device envy.
Ipod Video, Motorola Q and a Sony UX180-p all in the same picture. I probably would have a hard time locating a dollar bill if I had those in my collection.

I dont know how you do it Dave! This is just another reason that makes Mobility Today a top choice for me. No matter what new gadget is out there you are first to get your hands on it! Thanks for sharing cant wait for a video review.

Cool. Can you take some pics next to another device so we can get an idea of just how small this is? It sure looks nice.

That's one sharp looking device! Can't wait to see more shots or a video review to get a real perspective of the size of the unit.
So now that you got it, what are you going to do with it? Does this replace a traditional laptop? PDA? Both?
