Sony UX-280P silently appears..

Once again Sony has silently added a new model as they phase out the old (8 week) UX-180p. Looks like Sony rushed out the UX-180p and early adopters are going to pay the price. Oh well I will never take a plunge on another UX for at least 3 months after it is announced.

  • Ultra Low Voltage
  • 40GB2

No way! Regardless, I'm gonna keep mine. Not going to fall into the upgrade every 3 months trap, at least not at $2K a pop!

It'll be at least a month if not 2 before the UX280P ships. I might do something when the next rev comes out in February-March time frame but for now UX180P does everything I could wish for.
Add another $400 and you can get a 60gb hd
Dynamism are also accepting preorders
Now this is my perfect gadget drool........
Dave did you see that the 180P is down to $1499 Staples?
Hmmmm. Ill have to call them.
How come Sony is not listing a 60GB version.
dynamism is listing a 60GB US option(not an import one from Japan)
I guess my UX 180p is destined for EBay.
Has Sony been talking to Palm? :( I understand that tech moves forward quickly but this is rediculous. Either release both devices at once with the lesser of memory at a discount or space the devices out.

I would be pissed if I just spent 1800 bucks.
that pisses me off. I'll take about a $800 hit swapping that out.....
Sigh... I agree... Ouch my wallet hurts.
Wow 1gb ram and 40gb, now thats getting more like it.
