iPhone Visual Voicemail Now Available on BlackBerry and Windows Mobile

NEW YORK, June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SimulScribe, the U.S. leader in voicemail-to-text services, announced today the launch of SimulSays Beta, a free, downloadable visual voicemail application for the BlackBerry 8800 series, BlackBerry Pearl, BlackBerry Curve and Windows Mobile devices. With SimulSays Beta users can scroll, click and listen to voicemail messages on their phone's display; saving time and money. Users can instantly select any voice message at random to play back with a simple click on the handset.

When SimulSays Beta is combined with SimulScribe's award wining voicemail-to-text service, users can also read their voicemail messages in the application. SimulSays Beta integrates with the mobile phone's contact book, allowing users to reply to the known caller's message by phone, text message or e-mail. SimulSays Beta is currently available at http://www.simulsays.com/ or at mobile.SimulSays.com from a handset.

"I've been testing SimulSays Beta for a few weeks now and find it indispensable," said Josh Rubin of coolhunting.com. "SimulSays Beta beat Apple's iPhone to visual voicemail and took it a step further, you can read your voicemail if you combine it with SimulScribe's voicemail-to-text service."

Once downloaded, the SimulSays Beta application is launched directly from the BlackBerry's main menu. SimulSays Beta requires very little power and always notifies users of new voicemail messages, even when the application is closed. SimulScribe will be rolling out SimulSays on additional mobile platforms in the coming months.

"We strive to deliver voicemail in better, easier and more useful ways," said James Siminoff, founder and CEO of SimulScribe. "SimulSays Beta was created to give our customers better control of their voicemail, saving them time and money. SimulSays Beta is ideal for people looking to add visual voicemail functionality to their existing mobile phones without having to purchase an Apple iPhone."

A tip for making this implementation more effective is that you create an exclusive email account for the voice mail messages to come in on. That will keep orginization of the emails effective for managing.
You can download the software for windows mobile by going to mobile.simulsays.com. The service is supposedly available only for T-mobile and ATT, and you have to register in order to use the service on the device as it asks for E-mail and pin to start using the software. It looks pretty basic, I haven't used it much though.
Nice!!! Im going to be checking there website everyday. There's one thing that's worrying me though. On there website it says "SimulSays[Beta] is compatibale with the BlackBerry 8800, 8830, Pearl 8100, Curve 8300 and Windows Mobile for smartphones (non-touch screen devices)." NO touch screen devices?? I hope this is not the case.
I recently got a callback from SimulScribe and they stated that they should have a version for WM phones by the end of this comming week!
The PDA phones have been about along while now all with touchscreen tech. and each new one has improved sencitivity. I got no doubts that the iphone will let us down. Ive hear that there will be 5 colours aswell. Exciting stuff

Don't think it is available for the WM platform. Did I miss something?
It's not iPhone Visual Voice Mail, it's just visual voicemail software from SimulScribe for the Blackberry. It would be really kewl if they were able to make a version for the WM platform.
