My good friend Dieter over at WMExperts takes you through an uncanned demo of the newly announced Windws Mobile 6.1.. Dieter always does a great job so I know he won't sugar coat the demo!!

MS would be doing their customers a service by not charging for this menial update for devices that came with 6 on them already.

In addition, I think it would be great if they did the same with 7 for folks who purchase the 6.1 models as well.

It definitely would have been great for MS to have an HTC Home type scenario on 6.1 Pro. I just do not understand MS sometimes, but I do think that from the information mentioned at CTIA, the new PIE coming in 3rd to 4th Q of this year will be on par with Opera 9.5 feature-wise. The only thing to question at that point is see whose engine is rendering faster and more stable.
Thanks for the video David. I was anticipating the 6.1 release - now I'll be keeping the HTC like home screen and other software I have.
JNGold, thank you for your comment. I didn't know the today screen upgrades weren't in the Pro Edition.
The rest of it, even IE is not worth my time & effort.
Yeah thats weird isnt it Jerry?
I like the improvements to the Standard Edition today screen. I am surprise though that the same components weren't implemented for the Professional Edition.
